Bellazir Energy Limited, in collaboration with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), has successfully concluded a specialized training program on Fire Alarm, Gas Detection, and Access Control Technologies in Lagos, marking another milestone in efforts to boost local capacity within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
The initiative, designed to empower young Nigerians with practical, industry-relevant skills, focused on strengthening technical competence and improving employability in key safety and operational fields critical to the energy industry.
Participants received certificates and starter kits at the end of the program, equipping them with both knowledge and tools to kickstart their careers.
CEO of Bellazir Energy Limited, Christabel Aniamaka, commended NCDMB for its unwavering support and partnership, describing the collaboration as a testament to the shared commitment to advancing local content development and youth empowerment.
The training aligns with NCDMB’s broader mission to build indigenous capacity and drive its strategic roadmap aimed at achieving 70% in-country value retention by 2027. The Board has consistently championed programs that promote local expertise and reduce reliance on foreign skills within the oil and gas industry.
The success of the Bellazir–NCDMB partnership highlights the increasing emphasis on workforce development as Nigeria pushes for deeper participation of its citizens in technical and high-value segments of the energy sector.
