An indigenous oil and gas downstream company, Bellazir Energy, has advocated the need to improve efficiency in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry with emphasis on emissions controls and investment in technology.

Speaking at the official launch of the company in Lagos, Christable Aniemeka, chief executive officer (CEO) and founder of the firm, said Nigeria’s petroleum industry remains one of the lifeblood’s of our economy, with daily consumption of petroleum products exceeding 50 million litres nationwide.
Aniemeka, however, observed that despite the industry’s key economic fundamentals, challenges, including delays, inefficiencies, safety risks, and inconsistencies in delivery, pervade activities in the sector. The company, she said, represents a fundamental shift in the management of product movement from different points and is poised to bridge this gap.
